KIMP360 x Zapier Integration: Automate Your Workflow Like Never Before

We’re thrilled to announce that KIMP360 now integrates with Zapier!
You can now automate your workflows, connect with 5,000+ apps, and eliminate repetitive tasks, all without writing a single line of code.

With this integration, you can automatically trigger workflows whenever an event occurs in KIMP360, such as when a card is created, moved, updated, or completed, and take actions across your favourite tools, including Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, Notion, Trello, and more.

Authenticate Your Zap with KIMP360

Each user connects their KIMP360 account to Zapier using a personal API key from the KIMP360 dashboard. This key securely authorises Zapier to access your account.

How to Get Your API Key?

1. Log in to Your KIMP360 Dashboard
   Go to My Account > Settings > Zapier Integration.
   
2. Select Your Board (Project) and Generate a New API Key
   Click Create New API Key and name it (for example: “Zapier Integration”).
   
3. Copy and Store Your Key Securely
   Keep your key safe; treat it like a password. Don’t share it or include it in public code.
   
4. Add It in Zapier
   When setting up your Zap, Zapier will ask for your KIMP360 API Key. Paste your personal key to complete authentication.
   
5. Note: The app is listed on Zapier under “KIMP” (our parent brand), not “Kimp360.”
   When searching in Zapier, look for “KIMP” to find and connect the integration.

Each user must use their own API key; shared keys will not work and can lead to authentication errors.

What You Can Do with KIMP360 + Zapier?

Zapier connects your KIMP360 boards to the rest of your workflow through Triggers and Actions.

Available Triggers: 

Triggers are events in KIMP360 that start your automation (Zap). When one of these happens, Zapier automatically performs the actions you’ve defined.

Instant Triggers available:

• New Card Created – Starts your Zap whenever a new card is created in KIMP360.
• Card Moved to In Progress – Fires when a card is moved to the In Progress status.
• Card Moved to In Review – Triggers when a card is moved to the In Review status, indicating it’s ready for feedback.
• Card Moved to Completed – Fires when a card is marked as Completed on your KIMP360 board.
• Card Archived / Unarchived – Detects when a card is archived or restored from the archive.
• Card Due Date Changed – Triggers whenever a card’s due date is updated in KIMP360.
• Card Details Updated – Fires when the details of a card (such as title, description, or fields) are modified.

These instant triggers ensure real-time automation, eliminating delays and the need for manual refresh.

Example:
Whenever a new card is created in KIMP360, Zapier can automatically log it in Google Sheets, notify your team on Slack, or create a linked task in another tool.

Available Actions:

Actions are tasks Zapier performs automatically inside KIMP360 after a trigger occurs, either from KIMP360 or another connected app.

1. Create Card:

Automatically create new cards in KIMP360 from any connected app.
You can customize fields like:

• Product (Graphic / Dev / Video)
• Card Title
• Card Type
• Dimensions
• File Formats
• Software
• Description
• Text Copy / Files
• Brand
• Additional / Reference Files and Notes

Example: Automatically create a new KIMP360 card every time a new form is submitted, an email arrives, or a Google Sheet is updated.

2. Search Cards:

Find existing cards in your KIMP360 board using the card title, ID, or status.
Useful for building advanced automations that check for existing tasks or update them dynamically.

Security Best Practices:

• Treat your API key like a password; never share it publicly.
• Store it securely (e.g., in a password manager).
• Regenerate your key periodically or if you believe it has been compromised.

• Notify your Slack channel when a card moves to In Review.
• Add completed KIMP360 tasks to Google Sheets for reporting.
