What’s unlimited?

Kimp’s unlimited graphic design service includes unlimited requests and unlimited revisions.

This means that you can make as any requests as you'd like, and we'll work through them as quickly as possible.

Once you submit your requests, your dedicated Project Manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required. Then they'll assign them to your design team.

By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them. But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know.

On average you'll receive 2-3 designs to review, per business day.

And as we work together, and get to know your brand(s) and vision better, the review and revision process will get faster and faster. So you'll be able to get an increasing number of design projects completed, and only ever pay our flat monthly fee.

What is Kimp?

Kimp is a chimp. He got tired of all the monkey business that goes into getting good graphic design. So, he got together a team of amazing designers to deliver an exceptional service.

Unlimited designs, unlimited revisions. One flat monthly fee, and every reason to go bananas.

Kimp is the evolution of graphic design.

What if there’s a delay?

We work hard to make sure we deliver on time and beyond your expectations. But if there ever is a delay, here’s what happens:

Once you’ve submitted all of the necessary details for a request, if we take longer than 2 business days to fulfill it, you can get $20 off your next monthly fee. Just email support@kimp.io with the details.

We want you to know that you’re investing in a service you can rely on. No monkey business here. Just the Kimp guarantee of a great service.

Will there be any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees at all. You will only pay the flat fee on a monthly basis. All taxes and other fees are included in the flat fee.

Which method of payment can I use?

We do not accept cash, cheques, money transfers, or Paypal as methods of payment. At the moment we only accept credit cards. Feel free to contact us on our live chat at www.kimp.io if you have any questions about payments.

Am I in a long-term contract with you?

No. We offer a monthly subscription so that at any time you wish to cancel, you can do so hassle-free.

What does my billing cycle look like and when will I be billed?

We maintain a 30-day cycle for billing. As long as you maintain an active subscription, you will be billed on a recurring basis, on the same day that your full subscription began. If you want more information on this, or if you wish to clarify any details, please reach out via our live chat at www.kimp.io.

Why is my billing on a monthly basis?

Kimp has a subscription model, which includes month-to-month billing. So when you have an active subscription, you'll receive a monthly bill. In order for you to make and manage your design requests on an ongoing basis, we require you to have an active subscription. If you have any concerns about your billing, please contact us on our live chat at www.kimp.io.

How hard is it to cancel the subscription?

Not hard at all. We keep things simple at Kimp. No documentation or extensive process. You can cancel at any point in time. Just log in to your Kimp account, and you can cancel with just a few clicks. Need a hand with this? No worries. You can request assistance via the live chat at www.kimp.io. You can also request assistance from your dedicated Project Manager. There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can simply log in to your Kimp account at www.kimp.io and cancel at any point in time with just a few clicks. You can also request assistance from your dedicated Project Manager, or via our live chat at www.kimp.io. There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.

What kind of designs doesn’t Kimp do?

We don’t fulfill the following types of requests:

  • 3D/CAD rendering
  • Ad development
  • HTML5 ads
  • Coding & development
  • Copywriting
  • Marketing strategy
  • Motion graphics
  • Web, mobile or app design projects

How does the trial work?

Sign up, try us out for 7 days for free, and then cancel or subscribe!

You are not billed during the trial period. So why do we collect payment details when you sign up? To make sure we only onboard clients who are seriously considering Kimp. If during the trial you feel that Kimp is not the right fit for you, simply cancel and you won’t be charged a cent!

Below are guidelines for the trial as well as some tips to help you determine if Kimp is right for you:

  • During your trial, you can make 3 requests to test our service, workflow, and design quality.
  • 1 request = 1 design (i.e. a single print or digital creative, or up to 2-3 pages of a multi-page design, depending on the amount of content).
  • During your trial, you will only receive designs with a watermark on them.
  • If you decide to subscribe to the service you will receive your trial designs without a watermark, as well as the source files and/or print-ready files.
  • After you subscribe, you’ll receive source files and/or print-ready files for all your requests!
  • Make your 3 requests all at once so that we can ask for clarification and then work through them, and any revisions you’ll require, as quickly as possible. This way you'll get a good sense of what working with your Kimp Team is like. And you'll be able to make a confident decision within your 7 day trial about whether you'd like a full subscription.

The following requests are not fulfilled during trials:

  • Resizing of trial designs
  • Logos
  • Brand mascots
  • Brand characters
  • Landing pages
  • Presentations

The following requests are limited during trials:

Illustration requests are limited during trials:
During your trial, you may request one simple illustration. Complex illustrations are not included during the trial.

Multipage design requests are limited during trials:

During your trial, if you wish to request a multipage design such as an ebook, we will complete up to 2-3 pages, as one design request. Your Project Manager will advise you of how many pages can be completed based on the amount of content you provide.

Why we don’t fulfill certain design requests during trials:

We do not fulfill landing page, presentation, logo, brand mascot, or brand character requests during trials for the following reasons:

  • They often include vague creative briefs as brand guidelines are not available. This in turn doesn’t provide enough direction to complete designs and/or revisions with.
  • They often require input and feedback from several team members or other stakeholders, which delays the design process and prevents us from being able to provide completed outputs to assess Kimp with.
  • We’ve also found that many clients who request logos, mascots and characters during the trial are simply seeking branding work on a complimentary basis, and don’t have recurring design needs.

If you’d like to skip the trial and move forward with a full subscription in order to request a landing page, presentation, logo, brand mascot, or brand character design, please let us on the live chat at www.kimp.io!

What does “unlimited graphic design” mean?

Kimp’s unlimited graphic design service includes unlimited requests and unlimited revisions. This means that you can make as any requests as you'd like, and we'll work through them as quickly as possible. Once you submit your requests, your dedicated Project Manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required. Then they'll assign them to your design team.

By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them. But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know. On average you'll receive 2-3 designs to review, per business day (this applies to designs like social media posts, web banners and single sided print designs). If you've got a more complex design request we'll let you know how much longer it will take.

And as we work together, and get to know your brand(s) and vision better, the review and revision process will get faster and faster. So you'll be able to get an increasing number of design projects completed, and only ever pay our flat monthly fee.

How long do requests take to complete?

We work on your requests on a first-come, first-served basis. They are entered into your design team’s queue in the order that they are received. Your team then works on delivering them.

On average you'll receive 2-3 designs to review, per business day (this applies to designs like social media posts, web banners, and single-sided print designs). If you’ve got a more complex task like a lengthy presentation deck or brochure, let us know and we’ll provide an estimate on how long it’ll take.

If you need faster outputs you can add on subscriptions as you need them, and cancel them as you don't. To learn more about adding additional subscriptions, reach out to us on the live chat at www.kimp.io, 7 days a week! Or to add an additional subscription, log in to your account at www.kimp.io.

Tell me more about your team. Where are they located?

Kimp’s HQ is in Markham, Ontario, Canada and operates in EST. Our design team members, meanwhile, are full-time Kimp employees, who work from our offices in different time zones. Together we ensure that our clients get timely responses to their inquiries, and have their design requests fulfilled as quickly as they need them to be.

Kimp does not outsource work, or work with freelancers, as an important part of our service is being able to provide consistently high-quality designs to our clients. We also believe in the importance of building strong teams and creating environments that they can thrive in. Because we love giving our team members the opportunity to go bananas with graphic design too :)

My business is rapidly expanding. Can you keep up?

Absolutely. If you require more than one subscription to keep up with all your design needs, you can add additional subscriptions at any time. And you can also cancel them at any time, which means you can scale up, or down quickly.

With each additional subscription that you add, you'll increase the number of outputs you receive, and the speed at which you receive them.

For example, one additional subscription will double the designs you get completed each business day.

To learn more about adding additional subscriptions, reach out to us on the live chat at www.kimp.io, 7 days a week! Or to add an additional subscription, log in to your account at www.kimp.io.

How much is the service?

$389 per month. No set-up fee, no minimum terms, no cancellation penalties. Absolutely no contracts.

I have a really time-sensitive request. What do I do?

If a request is especially time-sensitive, you can indicate this when submitting your request details. We’ll do our best to bump it up in the queue and advise you of the delivery time.

How many requests can I submit at a time?

You can submit an unlimited number of requests. Your dedicated Project Manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required, and then assign them to your design team. By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them. But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know.

We get it. Sometimes priorities shift and deadlines change. So we're happy to be as flexible as possible to help you meet yours.

Who works on my requests?

Your dedicated design team does! Your team is made up of 1 Project Manager and 3 designers who specialize in different types of design.

Based on what you need, your Project Manager will assign your request to the designer best suited to complete it. Once that request is completed, we then move on to your next request.

We fulfill your requests one at a time, on a first-requested, first-fulfilled basis. This way you get what you need first, the fastest. If the priority of your requests ever shifts, after you've made a request, you can just let your project manager know. They will hit pause on your active request, and fulfill the one that's become more time sensitive.

What details should my design request include?

Include these details every time for the best results: size, orientation, format (print or digital), preferred colours, inspiration designs, and text copy. The more descriptive you can be, the fewer revisions will be required.

How do I submit and manage my requests?

There are two ways you can make requests – through email at request@kimp.io, or through our task management software, Trello. Check out our handy guide on how Kimp users can use Trello below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH4XWRAMvOA

How many brands can I submit requests for?

An unlimited number. We’re happy to help you with as many designs as you need.

How do I get revisions done?

Your dedicated design team will take care of your design, from first-draft to final product. And all the revisions you need. Just let them know the details of the revisions required, via email or your Trello board.

Is there a contract I have to sign?

No, we don’t have any contracts. Our service is delivered month-to-month for a flat monthly rate.

Where Does Kimp Get Fonts, Photos, Icons and Elements From?

We scour the internet for the best options for fonts, photos, icons and elements.

We use a lot of great free resources and we access some premium sources too. Whatever the source, we ensure that font, photo, icon or element is labelled for commercial use.

So, go ahead and use your designs however you’d like.

Keeping Things Confidential

We never disclose details about our clients. We do however share some of the designs we create for you in our portfolio. If you'd prefer not to have your designs included in our samples, please do let us know via our live chat at www.kimp.io or via email at info@kimp.io.

Who owns the rights to the designs created by Kimp?

It would be you. You hold the commercial rights and ownership of all the designs created by Kimp during your paid subscription. So you can go ahead and use it in any way you would like. To be on the safe side, we double check all the elements and stock material to make sure you are granted the license for them. And we are assuming the material provided to us by you are licensed and owned by you. Just remember, we are not to be held liable if the content provided by you is unlicensed.

We offer unlimited revisions because we want you to get exactly what you need. But, at times, there can be a disconnect between what you imagine and what you get.

If you find yourself in that spot, here’s what we recommend:

  1. Review your requests: Sometimes a request is missing details or not as clear as it could be. Try providing additional references and details in your revision requests.
  2. Give your designer detailed feedback: Let your designer clearly know what they’ve missed. They’ll work as quickly as possible to have your design revised.

Kimp Tip: After attempting steps 1 and 2, if you find that your design is still falling short, shoot us an email at support@kimp.io. We’ll review the issue and work to find you a resolution as quickly as possible.

Requesting Revisions

On Trello:
Comment, drag, and drop. Just add the details of the revision required in a comment. Then move the relevant card from the “In Review” or "Completed" list to the “Requests” list.

On Email:
Respond with the details of the revision required.

Prioritizing Requests

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority.

Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down on Trello. So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Via email please be sure to mention if a particular task is a priority.

How To Email A Request

  1. Email the details of your request to request@kimp.io
  2. Be as descriptive as possible about your design—from the subject line to the body of your email.
  3. Attach pictures to be used, references, logos and/or assets.

Kimp Tip: If you’ll need your designer to select the pictures for your design, be sure to give them points of reference or a description of what you’re looking for.

Need help with making your request? Refer to our request guidelines.

Trello 101

Your Trello board includes:

  1. Cards for each of your requests
  2. Lists for each stage of the design process
  3. An Activity Feed where you can see all of the activity that has taken place on your board

New Requests

To make a request simply create a new card in the "Requests" list. Include a detailed description and add any relevant attachments.

Kimp Tip: Refer to the “Resources” list to help you figure out which details to include.

Prioritizing Your Requests

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority.

Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down.

So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Revision Requests

Requesting revisions is a simple, 2-step process.

  1. Add the details of the revision required in the comments section of the relevant card.
  2. Move the relevant card from the "In Review" list to the "Requests" list.

The sooner you do this, the sooner we work on your revision request.

Adding Brand Guidelines

You can add your brand guidelines to the "Guidelines" list to make the design process more efficient.

Add a new card for each brand you will be requesting designs for. And be sure to include as many details as possible (logos, colour palettes, style guides or style references, inspiration images and designs). We want to know it all!

Inviting Team Members To View Your Board

Work as part of a team and need to give others access to your designs? You've got it.

Just let us know your team members' preferred emails or their existing Trello usernames, if they already use Trello. We'll then invite them to help you make and manage design requests.

Pausing & Cancelling Requests

Pausing a request is easy. Simply comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be paused until you confirm.

Cancelling a request is simple too. If you need to cancel a request, just comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be cancelled.

Setting Up Notifications

You can set up notifications for individual tasks by opening the relevant card and selecting “watch”.

If you’d like to set up notifications for an entire list, simply click on the 3 dots beside the list name and select “watch”.

Notifications will alert you to:

  • All comments from other users
  • Adding, changing, and upcoming due dates
  • Card moves and archives
  • Attachments uploaded to a card (or all cards in a list if you've turned on notifications for a list)
    • Kimp Tip: Click on the bell icon, at the top right corner of your board to control the frequency of your notification emails and to turn on/off desktop notifications.

Duplicating Requests

Duplicate requests easily by opening up a card, and selecting “copy” under “actions”.

You’ll be prompted to create a new card title, and to select the board and list to which the card should be added. The board will be your Kimp board of course, and the list will be the "Requests" list.

You can then prioritize the request by selecting its position in the "Requests" list.
