Founder Stories: Linh Podetti On Building Outsourcing Angel

In today’s Founder Story, we feature Linh Podetti, CEO and Founder of Outsourcing Angel!

Read on for lessons she has learned from launching and marketing her business.

1. Please introduce your business and share your role.

I’m Linh Podetti, CEO and Founder of Outsourcing Angel. Through my venture, Outsourcing Angel, I help business owners reclaim their time, energy, and passion. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to embrace a life beyond the conventional 9-to-5, by automating, systemizing, and delegating tasks to reliable and skilled virtual assistants.

I know firsthand how it feels to be tied to a desk, spending countless hours juggling multiple roles and responsibilities. But with the right strategies and the support of virtual assistants, I broke free from the shackles of constant work. Achieving semi-retirement allowed me to travel, explore the world, and cherish moments with loved ones, without compromising on professional growth.

Outsourcing Angel offers tailored solutions to suit any business’s needs, allowing business owners to focus on what truly matters—their vision, creativity, and family. We firmly believe that work should be a means to an end, enabling you to enjoy life on your terms, not be confined by it.

2. How did you prepare for, and go about your launch?

For the launch of Outsourcing Angel, our strategy revolved around three core elements: paid advertising, social media marketing, and word of mouth. Here’s how we prepared for and executed our launch:

Paid Advertising:

  • We allocated a portion of our budget to paid advertising campaigns, targeting platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
  • Our paid ads were meticulously crafted to highlight the unique value proposition of Outsourcing Angel and directed traffic to optimized landing pages for maximum conversion.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Leveraging the power of social media, we actively engaged with our target audience on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Our social media marketing included regular posts, eye-catching visuals, and relevant hashtags to create awareness and foster engagement.

Word of Mouth:

  • We focussed on delivering great services to our clients, which encouraged them to spread the word about our company.
  • Through referral programs and incentives, we incentivized satisfied customers and affiliates to recommend our services to their networks.

Throughout our launch, we closely monitored the performance of these strategies using metrics such as ad click-through rates, social media engagement, and customer referrals. This data allowed us to make real-time adjustments and optimize our approach.

Our goal was to create a buzz around Outsourcing Angel, capturing the attention of our target audience, and leveraging the power of social proof through word of mouth. By combining these three strategies, we successfully launched our brand, reaching and resonating with our intended market.

3. Since launching, what types of marketing campaigns and designs have worked best to attract and retain customers?

Our marketing campaigns and designs have worked best since our launch when we’ve focused on joining mastermind groups to build connections with our target audience, developed a strong brand through content marketing to educate and attract new customers, and leveraged social media for engagement and support. These strategies have not only helped us attract new customers but have also played a crucial role in retaining them by fostering trust, connection, and ongoing value.

4. What have been the most influential brands for your business? Whose branding and marketing do you aspire to and why?

One personal brand I greatly admire is Oprah Winfrey. Her authenticity, down-to-earth nature, and immense influence inspire me. Oprah’s genuine, relatable approach and her ability to make a positive impact on society through her personal brand serve as a powerful example. We aspire to embody these qualities in our own brand, seeking to connect with our audience, remain approachable, and make a meaningful difference in the world.

5. What are your favorite marketing platforms/tools?
  • Activecampaign
  • YouTube
  • Linkedin
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Canva
  • ChatGPT
  • VideoAsk
  • Opus Pro
6. Looking ahead, what are you most excited about?

Looking ahead, I’m most excited about two key aspects: Firstly, the prospect of building leaders within my team and witnessing their professional and personal growth is incredibly fulfilling. Secondly, I’m eagerly looking forward to dedicating more of my personal time to charity work overseas. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on communities in need and contribute to causes close to my heart is a source of great anticipation and purpose.

7. Who or what inspires and motivates you?

What inspires and motivates me are individuals like Oprah and Angelina Jolie. They serve as powerful role models because they leverage their platforms to make a positive impact on the world, using their influence and resources to help those in need. Their commitment to philanthropy and advocacy for important causes is truly inspiring and reminds me of the significant difference one can make when driven by a genuine desire to help others.

8. What are some lessons you’ve learned along the way that you would share with entrepreneurs hoping to launch or who have just launched?
  • Build experiences and skills by working for someone; don’t be afraid to invest time in developing your competency.
  • Don’t just start a me-too business; instead, look for pain points and strive to solve them. Create a business that offers something valuable and unique.
  • Always continue learning and stay curious, as business is a journey of personal development. It’s never going to be easy; you’ll face challenges at every level.
  • Genuinely love people, because they are key to your success. Without people, you wouldn’t have customers, staff, partners, etc.
9. What do you believe are the qualities of a good entrepreneur? And what makes a team successful?

Good entrepreneur qualities encompass several key traits, including curiosity, daringness, a willingness to take calculated risks, and a strong orientation toward people.

Curiosity fuels innovation and adaptability while daring and risk-taking are essential for seizing opportunities and learning from setbacks.

Being people-oriented allows entrepreneurs to build meaningful relationships, understand their customers, and foster teamwork.

A successful team is made up of the 4 core values: Appreciation, Courage, Consistency, and Transparency

Appreciation: When we work from a place of gratitude and appreciate the job we have, the customers who pay the bills, and the team members who are there for us.

Courage: As a team, we need to have the courage to be vulnerable, to speak up, to share our point of view, to try new things, to be a great example for our team members.

Consistency: It’s important to consistently deliver great work and be someone others can rely on.

Transparency: By embracing transparency as a team, we foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability.
